2. Quotes and Site Visits
Quotes and estimates are based on the information, measurements and ground conditions known at the time, and are confirmed after a site visit. A quote sets out the work, materials and price, and is valid only for the period stated on it. We will tell you about any change in scope or price before we continue.
3. Ground Conditions and Services
Please show us the position of irrigation lines, pipes, cables and other underground services before digging starts. Hidden rock, poor soil, drainage problems or buried services may change the scope or price, and we will tell you before we continue.
4. Lawns and Plants
Lawns and plants are living material and need watering and care after planting. We will explain aftercare when the job is done. Results depend on weather, water, soil and how the lawn or plants are looked after, so we cannot promise that every plant or lawn will survive unless agreed in writing.
5. Stonework and Retaining Walls
Taller or load-bearing retaining walls, and work near boundaries or buildings, may need an engineer's design or municipal approval. We will tell you what applies, and the property owner is responsible for approvals unless the quote says otherwise.
6. Your Responsibilities
Confirm that you own the property or have the owner's permission, give safe access to the work area, move vehicles, furniture and valuables, and tell us about known hazards such as underground services, boundaries and pets.
7. Weather and Delays
Rain, heat, supply delays and other factors outside our control can affect the schedule. Dates we give are estimates unless agreed in writing.
8. Waste Removal
Green waste, rubble and soil removal are included only where the quote says so. Dump fees are quoted separately unless stated.
9. Payment and Cancellation
Payment terms are stated in your quote or invoice. Please agree them before work starts. If you cancel or reschedule at short notice after we have ordered materials or travelled to site, we may charge for non-returnable materials and the call-out, and we will tell you upfront.
10. Liability and Your Rights
We take reasonable care with all work. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage to unmarked underground services, existing structures or conditions not disclosed to us. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or other South African law.
11. Complaints and Governing Law
